At Lighthouse Care Consultancy, we support new providers through every stage of Ofsted registration, from SC1/SC2 and policies to full setup and inspection readiness.
With over 30 years’ combined experience, myself and Jo bring hands-on leadership and genuine care for what we do. We offer flexible levels of support, but our aim is always the same: to walk alongside you, invest in your journey, and help you build a safe, child-centred service from day one.

We offer independent Regulation 44 visits for children’s residential homes, delivered with care, integrity and a genuine commitment to improvement. Our approach is relational, transparent, providing clear feedback and practical recommendations that support homes to strengthen practice, evidence compliance and create safe, nurturing environments for young people.

We specialise in rebuilding homes that have struggled, particularly in the context of childrens residential services that may have recently faced downgrades or found themselves in cycles of non-compliance. Our consulting approach to turnaround balances urgent Ofsted compliance fixes with cultural and relational rebuilding, incorporating trauma-informed insight to create lasting change.

We offer tailored consultancy, mentoring, and contracted Responsible Individual (RI) support for children’s residential services. Drawing on extensive frontline and leadership experience, we support providers, Registered Managers, and senior teams to strengthen Ofsted compliance, build confident leadership, embed trauma-informed practice, and implement practical systems that create clarity, control, and sustainable improvement.
